The "le Cesete" brand is intended for wines produced from grapes harvested in the vineyard of the same name.
The "le Cesete" vineyard is located 250 meters above sea level, in the hamlet of San Briccio in the Municipality of Lavagno (Verona).
The soil is volcanic (black earth) and the cultivated vines are those of the Valpolicella disciplinary: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and others (Oseleta, Croatina etc. etc.).
50% of the vines are more than 50 years old and the cultivation system is a half Trentino pergola.
The grapes are selected and harvested manually, are placed in perforated houses, to allow the ventilation of the grapes, placed in the drying room, which lasts from 60 to 90 days.
The wine obtained, according to the climatic trend of the season and the load of grapes per plant, is then classified in Amarone DOCG, Recioto Classico DOCG, Ripasso DOCG, Valpolicella DOC.
The wine, in the spring following the harvest, is placed in barrels of approximately 225 liters (bariquess) and left to refine for 36/60 months.
The refinement in bottles then continues for 12/24 months.
Intense ruby color, scent of red pulp fruit such as cherry, plum and dried grapes.
Mineral hints of coffee, cocoa and cloves.
In the mouth and robust, with velvety tanino.
It expresses a splendid concentration of the fruit.
